Everest Base Camp Inclusive & Differently-Abled Friendly Program is a newly designed and carefully planned concept in Nepal’s trekking and tourism sector, created to make the Everest region accessible to travellers with different physical abilities.
As an experienced trekking agency, we operate many standard Everest Base Camp trekking programs for regular trekkers. This special program, however, is uniquely designed for travellers who dream of reaching the foothills of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest (8,848.86 m), but require additional support and customized arrangements.
If you have always dreamed of experiencing Everest Base Camp but feel uncertain due to physical limitations, this inclusive Everest experience may be the right option for you.
This program is custom-designed on a case-by-case basis and may be suitable for travellers with:

Depending on individual capability, the itinerary may include short trekking sections, porter or assistant support, and helicopter-assisted access to key viewpoints and Everest Base Camp itself. Differently-Abled Friendly Everest Base Camp Program Itinerary
Arrival in Kathmandu Valley
Namaste and we welcome you for your Everest trekking experience in Nepal. You will be assisted to your hotel upon your arrival. In the evening there will be a short orientation session about the trek safety, accessibility, and arrangements.
Everest Trek Preparations and Explore
Today will be your trek preparations where you will be buying and renting the final gears and equipment as suggested by the guide for your comfort and safety. Along with that you will be renting special equipment which will be needed for you especially. After that you will have a small brief about your trekking in Everest along with the safety instructions. After that your guide will hand over your Sagarmatha National park permit. In the evening, if you have time, you can explore and do the sightseeing in the valley by visiting the places like the Swyambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa or any other places.
Fly to Lukla and trek to Phadking
Early in the morning, you will have a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla of 35 minutes. Upon reaching you will get your Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit and then head towards the Phakding. We will be organizing you the safety staff support through out the hike who will be waiting for you at the Tenzing Hilary airport (Lukla) who will join from there.
Hike from Phakding to Namche Bazar
Early in the morning, after enjoying your breakfast you will head towards the Namche Bazar. All your baggage will be handled by the Sherpa porter making you comfortable to reach your destinations. You will be assisted by the nurse, guide and support staff. Upon reaching Namche you can relax and enjoy the first glimpse of the Mt Everest and its surrounding ranges.
Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar
Today will be your acclimatization day at the Namche. As the EBC is situated over 5000 meters above and there is thin air its important for your body to adapt that air. You will be walking or porter or the horses will carry you to the Everest view hotel from where you can enjoy the majestic views of the mountains and which will trigger your heart to reach its base camp as soon as possible.
Namche to Tengboche
Walk via beautiful panoramic views of the mountains along side the lush green forest trials. A porter will be walking side by side with you and nurse will be constantly monitoring your health and keep update with us. Also, you can enjoy your walk in the mountains. You can visit the Tengboche monastery upon reaching where you can take a spiritual break.
Tengboche – Dingboche
As you head towards the Dingboche you will feel that the lush green is getting slowly back and as you approach you will see the fewer trees and open landscapes. You will see that the paths are wider and you can travel in your pace. The support staff will make sure you are warm and comfortable while you are in the journey.
Acclimatization Day at Dingboche
Today will be your acclimatization day at Dingboche as its important for you to maintain the altitude according to your body. You will enjoy your warm meals and visit the nearby view point from where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Island peak, Ama Dablam, Mount Everest, Cho Oyu and surrounding peaks.
Dingboche – Lobuche
You will start your journey from Dingboche to Lobuche after the whole day brief given by the trekking guide. You will ascend slowly towards your destinations. You will have very short trekking distance. And if you want the porter will open up the trekking chair for your easiness or your wheel chairs so that you can easily complete the trip. On the way you can interact with the locals and enjoy your pace.
: Lobuche – Gorakshep – Everest Base Camp
Your 10th day journey will be little more stressing but wonderful as you will be completing your dreams of reaching the foot of the world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest. First you will be trekking to the Gorakshep a small village before the EBC. And after that you will head towards the base camp.
Upon reaching the base camp congratulate yourself for achieving what thousands of people dreams of but are unable to do so. You will be fully assisted via the rocky moraines and in need the porter will carry you and take you to the base camp. You will be fully supported and our team make sures you can make your dream more exciting and safer.
At Everest base camp you can click photos, wave your country flags and celebrate your personal achievement. After that you will descend towards the Gorakshep.
Gorakshep – Kala Patthar
If you want, we can take you to another beautiful views point which is the Kala Patthar from where you can get more 360 beautiful views of the Everest and its surroundings. If you don’t want to hike that’s okay, we will organize you a helicopter from Gorakshep and you can fly from Everest to Kathmandu above the beautiful clouds, mountains valley and rivers. Upon reaching Kathmandu you can relax and enjoy your time in the city.
Departure
We hope we served you the best and made your dreams come true by fulfilling all your requirements. The rented gears which you took for the trek you can return it to the shop owner and then according to your time schedule we will drop you at the airport.
Note: This is not about reaching Everest Base Camp fast it’s about reaching it with dignity, safety, and pride.
