Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Namaste! We will welcome you at the international airport and transfer you to our hotel upon your arrival. We will take you to an authentic Nepali dinner once you’re settled (relaxed and freshened up). At the dining table, we can get to know each other better while enjoying tasty food and setting clear expectations for each other regarding the rest of our days. This will also give you a more in-depth understanding of the upcoming trek.

Day 2

Flight from Kathmandu – Pokhara, drive to Ghandruk

After breakfast, drive to Ghandruk village and do sightseeing around the village. Visit the Ghandruk Cultural Museum and Lama Heritage Resort. Overnight at Ghandruk

Ghandruk – Chhomrong

After breakfast, we will head north of the village, walk on an exposed trail to the summit of the ridge, and descend to the green valley and suspension bridge over the Kimrong Khola. After lunch, we descend to the valley through the thick cluster of rhododendrons and oak forests to reach Chhomrong, which has excellent views of snowy peaks.

Day 4

Chhomrong to Ghandruk

After breakfast, we will descend to Chhomrong Khola, cross the river, and climb up to the stunning village of Sinuwa. After that, we walk along the upper reaches of the Modi Khola Valley through the dense forest of cane, rhododendrons, and oak. The trail rises and descends to the village of Bamboo (2,310m/7,580ft), located at the bank of the river. After lunch, we will rise through the uninhabited forest to Doban.

Day 5

Trek from Doban to Deurali

After breakfast, we will walk through the bamboo forest, which is damp and cold, and then climb steadily on steep slopes. It is only after reaching the Himalayan Hotel that the forest widens, and we get the sun again with a stunning view of the glacial river below. We then climb steeply through the drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave. From here, the trail descends to the river and then climbs to Deurali, the most scenic stretch of the day. The vegetation here is sparser, allowing a great view of the valley, river, and rock cliffs about the bands of wispy waterfalls.

Day 6

Trek from Deurali to ABC

After breakfast, we climb gradually through a river bed and then on a steep trail over the mountain side. The trial from Bagar Machapuchhre Base Camp is challenging. From Base Camp, we get crystal clear bird' s-eye views of Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna One, Annapurna Three, Gandharvachuli, and Gangapurna, which is rewarding.
The vegetation disappears on the trail to ABC.

The trekking trail opens up as we enter the Annapurna Sanctuary. The sanctuary offers a 360-degree panorama of the Himalayas. From the base camp, we get mesmerizing views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and other peaks.
