Short Itinerary

Everest Base Camp heli fly-out trek is an elite Himalayan adventure that takes you to the base camp of Everest in less than 12 days with comfort and style. Trekkers get the privilege to witness the majestic Everest and other towering peaks while enjoying the trek through fascinating Sherpa villages and experiencing dramatic aerial views of the Everest region on the returning helicopter flight back to Kathmandu. This unique trekking package combines the thrill of trekking to Everest Base Camp with the convenience of a helicopter return, allowing you to experience the best of both worlds in a shorter timeframe.

One of the key highlights of this trek is the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich Sherpa culture and traditions. You'll pass through remote villages where life moves at a slower pace and witness firsthand the warm hospitality and resilience of the local people who call this harsh yet beautiful landscape home.

The helicopter fly-out Everest base camp trek is a combination of the Everest base camp trek and the Everest base camp heli tour. You will trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, and instead of trekking down to Lukla, you will take a direct helicopter flight to Kathmandu. In the helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp, you will take a helicopter ride from Kathmandu to base camp, stay a few minutes there, and return on the same day. But this trekking package is designed to experience trekking in the Everest region shortly and safely.

The EBC trek with helicopter return is an ideal choice for trekkers who want to experience the thrill of reaching Everest Base Camp but don't have the time or desire to trek the entire route back. Instead, you'll enjoy the convenience of a scenic helicopter flight from Everest Base Camp directly to Kathmandu, saving you several days of trekking and allowing you to experience the Himalayas from a unique aerial perspective.

This trek is particularly well-suited for those with limited time, families with children, or those who may find the return trek physically demanding. By cutting out the return portion on foot, you can still achieve your goal of reaching Everest Base Camp while minimizing the overall trekking duration and exertion.

Every adventure enthusiast and trekker dreams of leaving their footprints at the base camp of the mighty Mt. Everest. However, many find it challenging to dedicate more than two weeks to accomplish the traditional Everest Base Camp trek. To cater to this demand, Adventure Vision Treks has designed this 11-day Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return, prioritizing safety and comfort while allowing you to experience the thrill of reaching Everest Base Camp in a shorter timeframe.

By incorporating a helicopter return, this itinerary strikes the perfect balance between adventure and convenience, making it an ideal choice for those with limited time or those seeking a more comfortable trekking experience without compromising on the ultimate goal of reaching Everest Base Camp.

Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return

The adventure begins with an exhilarating trans-Himalayan flight to Lukla, the iconic gateway to the Everest region. From there, we embark on a scenic trek to the famous Namche Bazaar, where we spend two nights acclimatizing to the high altitude. Our journey continues as we trek to the hilltop village of Tengboche, home to a vibrant Buddhist monastery that offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Next, we make our way to Dingboche via Pangboche, taking another acclimatization day to prepare our bodies for the higher elevations. Here, we climb a hill just behind the village, rewarding us with unrivaled views of the Nuptse Glacier, the majestic Ama Dablam, the towering Makalu, and the awe-inspiring Everest itself, among other breathtaking peaks.

As we gain elevation, the temperatures drop, and the lush forests and farmlands give way to rugged landscapes of dwarf shrubs, rock, and ice. After an overnight stay in Lobuche, we trek to the highest village, Gorak Shep, following a rugged trail along the glacier and icefall that leads towards the summit of Everest. The hike to Everest Base Camp via the Khumbu Glacier may be challenging, but the rewards are well worth the effort. We then hike down to Gorakshep for an overnight stay, resting our bodies for the final push to Kala Patthar and the helicopter return.

Before the helicopter returns, we embark on a pre-dawn climb to the iconic Kala Patthar hill, which offers a breathtaking vantage point to witness the majestic Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and many other surrounding Himalayan giants in all their glory. This unforgettable experience is a true highlight of the trek, as you take in the awe-inspiring panoramic views of the world's highest peaks bathed in the warm glow of the rising sun.

After this incredible experience, we spend the night at Gorak Shep, resting and preparing for the final leg of our journey. In the morning, we board a chartered helicopter flight back to Kathmandu, soaring over high valleys, pristine lakes, ancient glaciers, and stunning mountain vistas that will leave you spellbound. This aerial perspective provides a unique and unforgettable way to bid farewell to the Everest region, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
