You will take Helicopter flight to see Mt Kailash, this is the most popular method to see Kailash in short period of time. You will take a flight from Nepaljung to simikot and take helicopter flight to Purang Tibet. Then drive to Mansarovar and continue for Kailash Parikrama.
The four main rivers around Kailash Mansarovar are the Sutlej, Indus, Brahmaputra, and Karnali. This sacred mountain is visited once in a lifetime by many devotees from all over the world. Arrival in Kathmandu Valley
Upon arrival at the International Airport, our representative will receive you and drive you to the hotel, approximately 6.6 km from the airport. Upon your arrival at the hotel, check into your room and freshen up. In the evening, visit the Thamel market shop and restaurant. You can enjoy dinner in Thamel's restaurant, which has various cuisine options. Rest the day at the hotel, then prepare for the next day's trip.
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj
On the next day, drive from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, passing the beautiful city and village of Nepal, which will take approximately 10 -12 hours, or take a flight of 1 hour. By road, on the way to lunch, stop for tea and coffee. Upon your arrival in Nepalgunj, check into your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the time with your friends and family, and prepare for the next day's journey to Simikot.
Early morning flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot
Take an early morning flight to Simikot, which approximately take 1 hour. Simikot is a remote town in northwest Nepal that serves as a gateway to the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Hills and an essential acclimatization point for all the devotees and travelers of Kailash Mansarovar. Upon your Simikot overnight at a tea house or lodge and then preparing for the onward journey to purang (Taklakot).
Heli flight from Simikot to Purang via Hilsa
Take a scenic 45-minute heli flight from Simikot to Hilsa, enjoying the panoramic view of the Himalayan landscape. Upon your arrival in Hilsa, cross the border on foot into Tibet and complete the immigration documents and formalities.
Driving from Simikot to Hilsa takes 4 to 6 hours depending upon the road condition. The total distance by road is 92km. The trip via vehicle or road is unavailable during rainy seasons.
Then, drive to Purang (Taklakot), which will take approximately 1-2 hours, passing the beautiful, remote village. Upon your arrival in Taklakot, overnight at the hotel to acclimatize.
Acclimatization in Purang (Taklakot)
You will spend a whole day acclimatizing in Purang (Taklakot) to adjust your body to an altitude of approximately 3,750 meters. Engage in activities such as short walks around the town to help your body adapt and keep you hydrated. Explore local villages and communities, interact with people, and rest enough to ensure you're prepared for the upcoming journey to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar.
Purang to Lake Mansarovar
Today we will drive from Purang to holy Mansarovar lake. Then, upon your Arrival at Lake Mansarovar, perform the ritual and take some dips in Mansarovar Lake. Taking dip in the lake Mansarovar is considered as the holiest act in various religion including Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and Bon traditions.
Hindus belive that water of Mansarovar washes away all sins of life as well the all previous births. As well you will get Moksha and you will no longer get cycle of birth. So, Mansarovar Yatra is considered as Holly yatra.
Lake Mansorovar is located at the foot of Mount Kailash (abode of lord Shiva)
Complete the Kora or Parikrama of Mansarovar in a vehicle.
Then, head to the western shore in the evening for an overnight stay. This area provides a serene environment with stunning views of Mount Kailash.
Drive from Lake Mansarovar to Darchen
Early in the morning perform rituals in Mansarovar have breakfast and drive from Lake Mansarovar to Darchen. On the way, you will pass the scenic view of the Tibetan Plateau and the beautiful natural surroundings. Drive from Darchen to Yamadwar and Trek to Dirapuk
After breakfast, drive from Darchen to Yamadwar, which takes approximately 1 hour. Then, from Yamadwar, begin your trek to Dirapuk, which takes another 5 to 6 hours. The trail offers a spectacular view of Mount Kailash. Upon Arrival in Dirapuk, rest in a guest house or camp and prepare for the next day.
Trek from Dirapuk to Zutulphuk
Early morning, start the trail to Zutulphuk by crossing the highest trekking point, Dolma la Pass. The trek from Dirapuk to Zutualphuk takes approximately 10 to 12 hours and offers a breathtaking view. It can be more challenging than passing Gauri Kund, a sacred lake. Then, reach Zutulphuk overnight at a guest house and reflect on your spiritual journey on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
Trek from Zutul Phuk- End Kailash Kora the Drive back to Hilsa
The following day, after breakfast, start the trek from Zutul Phuk to the endpoint of Kailash, which will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Then, Drive back to Hilsa via talkot, which will take approximately 8 to 10 hours. Upon your arrival in Hilsa, overnight at your Accommodation.
Hilsa to Simikot to NepalJung
An early morning drive or take helicopter from Hilda to Simikot. Take a flight to Nepaljung from Simikot.
Nepalgung to Kathmandu or India Border
Early in the morning we will take a flight from Nepaljung to Kathmandu.
Second option drive to destination If you want to end the journey in Rupadiya or continue trip to Lumbini and end at Gorakhpur. You will end you journey today on this option.
Departure from Kathmandu
On the last day, you can enjoy the final moment in Kathmandu Valley by shopping at the local market. Then, check out of the hotel and drive to the International Airport from Departure.
